One of my favorite Lewis quotes. Love his “A Grief Observed.”
I too, am learning that the grieving process in life does not necessarily have to apply to a physical death. In fact, its other applications can be far worse . . .
Grief is: a safety valve; an uncomfortable security blanket we default to; a regular, unwanted, but necessary visitor; a mental detoxification; our childhood imaginary friend-for-life. Fortunately for us, God controls the sessions with loving care. It’s always about Him.
